Drop and scratch?
Drop and scratch?
Just wondering, if I lower my car with 19's on a 1.1f and 1.1r drop will I scratch my front bumper? If anyone lives in the Encino or in a 30 radius please let me know so I can take a look at your car if you have this setup. Thanks.
I have Eibachs which claim 1.1 all around, and it is managable where I drive, I dont have a body kit or anything so most of my little scrapes are not the actual bumper, but another piece of plastic under the car. I think you will be fine w/o a body kit or extended front lip. That's my 2 cents...
I had S-techs on mine and the bottom of the bumper is pretty scratched up. I have scraped it coming out of the Glendale Galleria parking lot off Central Ave. Also coming out of the driveway at work across the street from the Galleria.
I have the 1.1 inch eibach drop and areo kit. The bumper is fine, but the little under plastic gets it all the time, leaving parking lots. Also, the metal under the car get it bad too on speed bumps. SO avoid those speed bumps, otherwise you're fine.

It all matters how you drive a lowered car. Im on coilovers and lowered like crazy.
You just gotta know how to drive it. I live in the valley so the roads here are bad. But you have to worry about driveways those freakin speed bumps

i have eibach pro kit and on stock 18's i scrape sometimes but prety much all u have to do is learn how to get in n out of drieveways with a lowered car..its east jsut have to remeber to do it all the time
I had a 2.5 inch drop on my M3 on 19's a couple years ago, and I didn't have too much of a problem because of super stiff shocks. But I agree with the above post, you need to know how to drive a lowered car.
That involves the ricer sideways over a speed bump deal.
