Hit by a hard rubber toilet bowl plunger thingy...

Yup. Today a piece of hard rubber hit my windshield on the 118. It was the size of the toilet bowl plunger and was headed right towards my face. The Nissan quality glass saved me, but my windshield is toast. I will post pics tommorrow. I am sure I am way below my insurance deductable, so who knows a place where I can get a good deal on the best quality windshield money can buy?

Thanks in advance to all my oppressed bretheren in the ghetto!!!

Thanks man, it held up really well. I bet that rubber thing bounced around kept hitting other cars. One of my co-workers was DOA after a wheel fell off a car going the other way and went through the windshield into his face while in a carpool. So I am glad to be OK. Moral: watch out for flying hard rubber toilet bowl plunger thingys...

OT: How's that V1 working out for you? I'm contemplating buying one...

Nah, I was busy admiring it as it flew threw the air tumbling over and over until it hit. V1 works great. Make sure you experiment with its location. Sometimes to high or too low will cause problems. I just figure if it saves me 1 ticket, it is worth it...

Why don't you get it hard wired to your mirror? It'll look much cleaner like that.

Glad you ok dude. I know PPG goes for like 350 ish but you should be able to find one at a wrecking yard now that there are a million G's on the street. I had to pay $350 for mine and that was shop rate but the car was only 6 months old. So it was either that or Dealer wanted $890. Ill make a call tomorrow dude and see if they have one at my buddies Yard.
