I got my license back!
What's up peeps. I finally got my license back after 2 years. Too bad my G looks like *** now. Just been driving to and from work (praying not to get caught). Few dents and dings. But I'm legal now. Feels good. Not gonna do anything to lose it again.
I actually had it suspended 3 times in that year. FTA (failure to appear in court), Too many points on my driving record and another FTA. The first time I ddin't even know. I was driving back to work from my lunch break and got stopped fortunately he just took my actual license and told me not to drive. The hold on my license was cleared but I hadn't gone to the DMV to reinstate it, didn't even know. At that time (May) I was in anticipation of my license being suspended in July for previously receiving 4 speeding tickets within a 4 month period. Max allowed is 4 points in a 12 month period. I only lost it for a month due to second chance traffic school. You can opt to take 12 hrs of traffic school to take an additional point off your record if you've already completed traffic school within an 18 month time frame. The last one snuck up on me. I got a notice in the mail about a window tint, no front plate "fix it" ticket I had received in Feb on my way to Mammoth. They claimed they had not received the $10 payment nor the signed proof of correction. I know I sent it. The date to appear in court on the matter had already past. I tried to see if I could plea my case and they pretty much told me not to bother I'd end up paying anyway. Being the court was in Bishop (mondays) or Lone Pine (wednesdays). It would mean I'd have to miss a minimum of days work and have someone drive me up there. So even if I won the plea it was still gonna cost nearly the same amount. I've been putting off taking care of the matter due to other financial obligations and lack of care. I'm finally getting my life back together. As you can imagine I was going thru a hard time back then. One word, DIVORCE. I went off the deep end and just made my problems worse. No matter what the case may be, it can always be worse.
