Don't worry this wasn't a publicized meet as we wanted to keep the group small to help make decisions. With a large group of people it would be too hard to make decisions and we wouldn't progress much. As the saying goes "too many hands in the cookie jar"

We also decided on a meet schedule which is the 1st Sunday of every month. I'm sure you can make those

hey guys I had to run by Pro-Am Motorsports on Richmond today, little snafu with my wheels but they helped me right out, good guys.

But I talked to the manager, and he'd be open to even opening up the shop on saturdays/sundays just for us if there's enough solid attendance. I don't want to waste his time if we don't all show up, but it's an option if we wanna do a few "shop days" throughout the year - he seemed happy to have us all come on in whether we do it ourselves or have them work on it. They've been around awhile, one of the more reputable shops around I think.

 

ABout time we have a legit regular meet, but from past experiance the meets will slowly decline if you have them every month. Maybe every other month or something just to keep the meets eventfull and something to look forward to, Im just throwing in my $0.02

Opinions are always welcome! The reason we want to have a monthly meet is to have something consistent for folks who have a) never been to a meet b) first time to a meet, etc. There will be a "core group" of us who will plan to be at every meet. Just like you said not everyone will be there everytime but there should be new faces (hopefully) each time and hopefully by having something regular more and more will be inclined to come out. In the future we plan to do a big meet like every 3 or 6 months. For example a tri-city meet with Austin, San Antonio, or Dallas. There's a thread on it now as a matter of fact. Kinda coincidental since I mentioned it earlier in this thread.

This whole structured way of doing things is to first help set us up with our own Houston Sub Forum much like Dallas has theirs. Then from there we can see how this takes off and adjust accordingly.

Just an update so that everyone knows where this is at. I have submitted our request to the staff for a sub-forum and their decision is pending. I have no idea how long it will be before a decision is reached, but hopefully soon. Ryan or myself will let everyone know as soon as we have a decision. Thanks for all the support.
