Custom plates used to be like $40 on top of your registration fee....

I went to that site and now its $195.....i think i will stick to the ones i got already....thanks Texas!

 

You can still get the standard-look license plates for the same low $40 fee.

MyPlates is more a Specialty plate that can be customized.

The renewal fees for the Specialty plates are the same as what you paid for your first year.

 

Mine were right at $200 for specialty plate+customized+ regular registration renewal on an '08 G37. IMO that's too much but I paid it anyway.
