Yeah lets make that as one of the first agenda items at the meet. I see where you're going with the out-of-towners having a say however, I feel we should stick to the 10 ppl on the list we have to make a decision on 3 names then have the rest of the group take a vote. Reason being is that we should have a "core group" with key decision makers. That way we prevent the "too many hands in the cookie jar" effect to help keep the group structured.

I hope I conveyed my thoughts clearly...LOL I woke up at 5am to run and i'm still kinda sleepy...LOL

I second that. Have the 10 people on the list and slect a couple people from that list to be president and vice. Then go from there. Then we can take over the world!!!!! J/k I kid I kid

i'll be more serious with this one - i can't believe I take one day off driver and miss all of this!

i'd love to help out and stuff, but as most of you know i'll be in austin 2/3 of the year so i can't make it out to everything. I'll come in for big stuff though, I came into town for that february meet we had... and left all my jackets in austin apparently ahah

while i'm here, I'm happy to help organize things like i tried to do with the mini we had. next thing I'd like to try and organize is still a cruise to galveston - since we want to get together soon and get plans laid out - is there enough interest to take a cruise JULY 12th to Galveston . I can call down to a few restaurants and try and get us group discounts and stuff, we can discuss and get everything planned out. or the other option would be do a local meet to get everything planned, then a cruise after or something for people who want to be a part but can't head down there

also - goals of the group. obviously to make new local friends who share the same interests, learn about each others cars, but i want to add to that. I know a bunch of clubs will go see movies, go to racing events, stuff like that together - we could have a few events. bbq, bowling, wtv. ALSO - what about a mechanics day. With the group we have, we've got pretty solid knowledge about the cars -we could have a day somewhere to just do work on each others cars. help install things, just do maintenance work - really get some good time under the hood with tons of assistance if you need it.

What about HOUSTON G ASSOCIATION. doesn't have any "club" stigma, sounds more "grown up".

EDIT: League of Extraordinary G(entlemen) ...... kidding

popcornten, those are very good suggestions. I like the idea of hanging out together, doing other things like bowling, bar hopping, bbq, other activities outside of the car related meets/events. and those mechanical days sound like a great idea. For those who are interested and wanna come and learn new things or help can come. I am liking all these ideas.

I'd be interested in the cruise but then there's also that other meet going on that day at uptown.

Hey Gabriel glad you made it out with us and welcome to the boards! Glad to know there's people who are willing to help make the Houston G community stronger and larger.

Yeah I prefer a more classy sounding group name. Nothing too extreme or ricey or flashy. Houston G association sounds like a Law firm or something, hahaha. But somewhere along those lines.

Houston G's is short and simple.

I'm so down for the cruise on the 12th. There is the 350z/G meet that day starting at 10:30am till 1ish? But from there we could all go down to Galveston and eat and mess around down there. As far as everyone hanging out that’s what I would like to see happen. I think we should have a set meet once every month and that never change but also have an event type hang out with everyone from the club once a month, like go to Crave sushi or something.
As far as Houston G association not huge on that, I think nyckid is right about that. Sounds like my uncle’s law firm.

last but not lest welcome Gabe! Even though I haven’t met you yet howdy, I'm sure we will work that out soon enough.

i'll start a "feeler" thread for the galveston cruise later today - probably just a regular thread.

i'll try and go make the same posts on my37 and 350driver and get them all to follow the link over here and we can have all the event info here. coffee and cars followed by a cruise to gtown, eat, dick around town - then head back
