yeah i heard they are one in the same... i been looking at the canons but the d40 is a lil cheaper... SLR FTW!!!!

 

Yep the specs are so darn close... I was gonna get the Nikon, but then my bro in Portland has a 20D and I got to play with it, so that kinda made me lean to the 30D.

SLR is definitely the way to go. My tripod is broken so I had to borrow Devins last night to take some of the better pics.

Any good recommendations you seen for light weight tripods?

 

man i havent the slightest clue... the camera i am looking at comes with a table top and a regular tripod... hope they arent too heavy... were you shooting with a flash? if so what kind?

No flash at all. I tried it on a few pictures but most of the time it was off. Just using the flash that is part of the camera. Still need to buy myself a external unit.
