Attn: Devin or anyone - TPMS

So on Monday morning my light was on when I went to work. I looked at the tires they looked fine. Came home that evening, they had around 29psi. I pumped them all up to 35 psi, and the light as of today has not turned off. Does anyone have a idea why it hasn't done this? This is on my NISMO Z. I hate to take it to the dealer if I can somehow fix it myself. Any ideas?

I have put two calls into Eric at Gunn and he isn't calling me back. So I have no idea what to do.

From my understanding your TPMS light is probably coming on due to the drop in tempreture recently... my TPMS light in my 2006 Nissan Frontier had never came on until last year when it got really cold... reason being the hot wheather keeps the air in the tires up... when the temp drops for some reason the air in the tires seems to drop thus throwing on your TPMS light... i could be wrong but that is what i have learned... i have never put air in my tires and the light hasnt come on since last winter... i wouldnt worry about it...

Do you know how long it takes for it to turn itself back off?

^^ Good answer Drew...I think he's right, because I have that same problem when it gets cold but it should go away after awhile driving on the road.

The light should have already turned off.......if you drive 100 yards then it should have reset. You problably have a faulty sensor....if all tires are reading 35 PSI and light is still on take it to the dealer ask for Erik and tell him. But, what he said above is also true.

I have actually called Erik twice and left messages and no one is calling me back. Even talked to the Director and he was going to have him call me back.

It's a bad TPS sensor......it happens alot....sometimes they just lose their programming and need to be reprogrammed....should only take an hour. Just go there and get it taken care of. No need for an appointment. Oh yeah this is Devon at Ronnies

yeah its common, some of it happens due to the drastic change in temp, the air inside the tires expands and contracts thus show the change in tire psi. take to the dealership they will hook it up to Consult-II and reprogram them

Well go figure. I drive home this afternoon, and I decide to play a little and got on the car hard 1-3 gears. :P And after I started to slow down to a light a little ways up, the light went off. lol.

Took 2.5 days.
