question on gasket leak

Question question on gasket leak

how do u know if u have a header gasket leak or blew a gasket? does it make a funny buzzing sound?

Its a hissing sound. Really easy to hear on the highway with the windows up.

I have a leak detection kit you can use to pin point where the leak is. LMK

its only when im switcing gears and im passing thru the low gears or when i down shift to netural and the rpm's drop. unless its a rasp from the hi-flow cats but i thought there not supposed to be raspy. i think i have to much flow for this exhuast. i sould have got chris's HKS. john your an exhaust expert, what should i get to make this puppy growl????

Its not rasp. I have that sound too with my HFCs, when I let off the gas in neutral and let the rpms drop, you hear a hiss right? Its just backpressure. But yeah Tony has that leak detection kit that works really well.

Is your car quiet with the HFCs? If you want to make it growl, get test pipes, which you will get raspiness along with it. Or get a different exhaust system. Chris's HKS would have been perfect

that is the noise sir!!!!!! i know but i was like last on the dib's list for the HKS. daniel, devon wanna cough up yours? i like the HFC's, had test pipes toooooo loud! headers and HFC's are too much i think for this EVO2

thats right it would.
well if i can slang this evo2 and and a little extra dough i think mostly anything is in the budget but it has to be dual. dont want to fill in that extra spot in rear lip for a single.
