Body Shop in Austin
Body Shop in Austin
Anyone have a good / fair body shop in Austin they would like to recommend? I bought my G in May and it has a slight bumper ding.
I also have some wheel rash, so if anyone knows where to get that fixed, please share.
Finally, I intend to do as much of my own mechanical work as possible, but if anyone has mechanic shop to recommend... please share as well.

Stephen, depends on what mechanical work you need; I would strongly recommend a friend of ours here in Austin. Sirboostalot is our most dependable gearhead here in Austin.

Session - thanks for your response.
I did see Sirboostalot's post about mechanical work in Austin. I'd definitely consider him for any work I dont want to do.
I am more interested in a body shop... as my G needs body work I cant do. Any suggestions?

Stephen, here's what I would do. I'd go to Austin Infiniti, ask them which body shop they take their cars for body work. That guarantees you a shop that actually work on infiiti cars. Then go over there and check out the shop and ask for an estimate. Then I would check out two more body shops, check out the shop and ask for estimate and see if they use OEM parts and see what kinda quote they give you. Check out this site in looking for body shops. http://austin.citysearch.com/yellowp.../10/page1.html
Checking out a couple more shops will give you an average if the shop that Infiniti deals with gives you the reasonable price. Hopefully someoene else in the community can direct you to a reputable body shop. Good luck!

Try Ellis & Salazar too, I took my '99 Maxima to them back in '02 to repair some nasty hail damage. They fixed it beyond my expectations, even took out some door dings that were there before the hail, and for about 1/2 the price my insurance company estimated! This was the one on South Congress, I believe they also have another location on the north side.
