NW Houston Gas Station Price War
Here's a link to the story:

Basically a new gas station (Chevron) is trying to get some publicity so they engaged in a price war with the Shell across the street. I drove by around midnight and the lines were easily 1/2-1 mile to get into the station and prices had dropped to 2.08 and 2.09 for midgrade! I decided not to waste my time, but instead to check out the gas stations down the road that got into the action and got myself premium for $3.47 with no wait

The Chevron guy said he will always have the lowest prices on that corner...so we'll see how long the price war goes!
I think it's pretty ridiculous tho, people waste so much gas waiting in line for HOURS just to save maybe 20 or 30 dollars. I guess they really don't have anything better to do with their lives
