Really? Wow! That's a bit much...Actually there is a loophole in the law as long as you have it displayed where the officer can see it will be dismissed. A state trooper gave me one not too long ago and it was dismissed. I just purchased suction cups with the hooks and stick it to my windshield (rarely). Did you get pulled over as well?

Really it depends on the cop. I don't usually roll with mine in the windshield and i'm dropped, rims, and a front kit as if that didnt' scream "Hey look at me!" I dunno what does. But I haven't had an issue.

You could buy a Stillen front plate kit which involves removing that square piece from your front bumper and screwing it in place of your tow hook. But that will run you $69 as well.

If you are really worried and adamant. I happened to find my front bracket I can take pics and send it to you (in case its' the right part) it's never been installed.

My phone is charging at the moment. How does your bracket attach to the car? I don't want to drill holes.

Stay with out the plate!!!! In 6 years of driving with no plate I have only been pulled over ONCE and ticketed for it. Cops were in trouble for not hitting there ticket quota and were just ticketing everyone at a car meet. (Heard from good source at Police department) 10 bucks and a picture of the plate on the car will dismiss it.

Not sure how strict the law is in virginia. don't want to take a chance. I was looking at the Stillen tow hook plate. Any owners that can comment?
