And yea, the wait for these wheels has been brutal. I ordered them while I was in Iraq. I got back in April and I've been waiting on them ever since. Hopefully 1st week of July.

I'm surprised I don't see your car lurking around anywhere. I'm usually on West Hood, but I venture around the Willow Springs area every now and then.

 

We got back in January and my car spent about 10 weeks in the shop. So it hasn't really spent to much time on the road lately! I drive it every day now so you will probably see it around.

 

Cool cool, maybe I will see you around. I know I'll be on base tomorrow for the stupid *** Division Run at like 5 AM.

Not a whole lot going on around the city though, sorry. Besides, I'm usually in Houston every weekend.

I did see a Lakeshore Slate G earlier today... but it had billet grilles all over it. Such a shame to a great color.

 

Wassup guys....I just moved here a couple of weeks ago to be with my wife who works on Ft Hood. Came from Birmingham and was wondering if y'all have any weekly meets or anything. I ran into a couple of coupes yesterday on Rancier. They mentioned to me about a meet on Thursdays at GymX.

If you know of anything let me know. I just got back from ZDayz in NC at the Tail of the Dragon a couple of weeks ago and had a BLAST. Hoping the G&Z community down here is just as fun as it is in B'ham.

It is usually pretty dead around here. We are trying to become a little more organized with this thread. There are meets at the Gym X on Thursday nights. I have yet to make it out to one so I can't tell ya much about them.

There are also meets at Target in Harker Heights on Friday nights. Again, I haven't been to any of those so I can't so to much about them.

 

Thanks man. Yeah I've seen alot of G's and Z's driving around but have only been able to talk to like 2 people so far...I'm usually with my family and can't speed up to catch up to the other ones I see. Y'all should try and get more people involved. Alot of people don't know about the forums though, so when you see people out in the streets stop them and talk to them. That's what I started doing. Before I left Birmingham I ran into 2 G coupes at a Best Buy and got both of them interested. Neither one of them had heard of the forums. So you have to get the word out in order to get the groups big. Than once you get a big group, you can make trip plans to go to places like ZDayz and Import Alliance, Nopi, HIN and places it like that. And trust me its tons of fun driving on a long trip with 10 plus cars. I followed a couple of TT Z's and G's back from NC to Bama and it was tons of fun.

 

Next big meet is in Austin this weekend, project 512.

I'll be meeting my Houston Crew there and we'll be hanging out with the Austin guys, CentexVQ, as well as going to the show and hanging out at the after party that is taking place at the A-Loft.

 

Dang, I won't be able to make it. Going to Orlando with the wife and kids and then headed back to B'Ham to spend time with my family. Hopefully I can get up with y'all sometime next week.

 

Maybe I'll see you around post or something this week. I just got back to base about an hour ago.

I'm not too familiar with the area. Don't really have a need to go on base anymore because my wife has already processed out. So I'll just be hanging around until we get our paperwork to leave. I'll be on the look out for yours too.
