^ Yeah me too. I like that body style more than the new ones....it's more retro. However the improvements for the new Shelby/Cobra are incredible and warrant the price IMO. I read that the new 5.0 is under-rated from the factory and pushing close to 450hp rather then the claimed 415hp. There roughly around the same price now (06-06 GT500 vs. 2011 5.0). But then again all you have to do is change a pully, add an intake, exhaust, & tune and your in a whole different league from the new 5.0.

Yeah they really do think highly of shelby as a whole. I test drove the new 5.0 and was not impressed at all really. I'm def going to throw some money into the shelby and yeah i will def be down for a meet before i go, hell even when i move on i'd still ride with you guys! haha are any of you on the east side? I just moved over from the west.

 

Sometimes I miss the sound of a V8 with a pullied eaton...... Such an amazing sound!

haha well yeah of course i was jw, im in the army but i actually like meeting people outside the army as i will be living here for life. i get out next year and the wife and I are staying in El Paso. We just bought one of those new condos on yarbrough. Ted i miss the sound of a V8 too, i had an 04 saleen. Beebo i actually like the interior it's not too bad, I just really have a chance at getting a shelby and I'm pumped ya know? Ready to get rid of it, you should buy it haha
