I posted for the first time in the G35 forum on this site today, and it was suggested by another member to copy my post here for a better result.

Here goes.

Just now joined up, I presently hail from the San Antonio,TX part of the world. I've been browsing this forum for the past week and have noticed some familar names from other infiniti related forums, so i figured that this is not too bad of a place to be.

I'm presently in search of a reliable and competent place in my neck of the woods, to get my car serviced.

Any recommendation would be very much appreciated.

What kind of service?? Plain oil change n all that just take it to infiniti.
Or are we talking about getting some work done to it?

Not only regular oil & transmission oil changes, i need to have some other repairs like the window motor, interior lights, getting out a CD that is stuck in the player.

i'm in search of a facility that i can have a trusting relationship with, and to perform the service repairs that i ask for and not merely as recommended by a preparded text.

I have no confidence in my local dealership, not since they put a different oil in my car when i had asked for Mobile One Synthetic to which they had agreed.

it's the little things like not replacing all of the screws on the under guard protector, but seems more interested in pushing me into agreeing with changing out a cabin filter at the cost of $110.00,and $120.00 for a diagnosis to be sure whether my plugs are in need of changing since they're not in need of changing until 105K Miles, Why not just changing them as i had asked?

I found the dealership reps to be arrogant and their attitude indeed condesending.

I may not be mechanically inclined, however theoretically i do know the needs of my car and it's mechanical shortcomings, thanks to the factory manual and forums such as this and others.

Sorry for the ranting, but that is why the dealership is not in my equation.

Well the windows you can do yourself, I did mine, wasnt that hard. I have a really good mechanic that does all my engine and tranny work. He just recently cheanged my clutch out and I'm extremely happy. If you would like his info, I would be more than happy to provide it.

Thank you, I would very much appreciate having the info to your mechanic, nothing beats knowing that the job was done as they say it was done and you the customer leave feeling that your money was well spent.

It may not be appropriate for me to call out the dealership by name, but it's on I-10, between DeZavala and Huebner.
I'm sure that they have many loyal and happy customers who have nothing but good things to say about them, like I said, their hospitality is second to none
I just know that I would not be going back there.

I know exactly the one your talking about. I actually went there one time to get a remote programmed and they wanted to charge me 79.90 or something. Just did some research and got it done myself. I feel like most stealerships are like this though
