Long Time Lurker on this site and i must say I love it! I just wanted to share with everyone that infiniti at manhasset just quoted me $420 for their 15k service my question is, can i just do an oil change, oil filter change at the dealership, and the in-cabin air filter on my own to keep my warranty? thanks everyone!!

Mine was $275, I'd say shop around. There is a list of things that they do in the service somewhere on here, most of which you can do by yourself.

dude...just do the oil change. its all u need at 15k miles. dont spend hundreds of dollars for what amounts to an oil change and lots of inspections. ask the dealer what they do at 15k miles. i bet you its "we inspect this and inspect that for hundreds of dollars"

and yes, you can do oil changes and in cabin filters by yourself. keep all receipts of oil and filters that you buy. record on a piece of paper when you did the oil change. staple the receipts to your paper and file it away for record keeping. perhaps its a little overboard but to me its good record keeping in case you get hasseled for warranty purposes.

*update*
back from the dealership yesterday. service writer explained to me that he would offer me a 10% discount on the $420 service and that he would do a tire rotation, even though i drive a coupe and that if there was a smell from the A/C because of the hepa filter, i would lose my warranty. needless to say, after that point i just told him to change the oil. thanks for the replies guys!

What a tool that guy is! OMG Good for you for just skipping everything but the oil change. I skipped my 15k service and had them simply change my oil. I changed my own in-cabin air filter with the Activated Carbon filter from Gordgee. It was a 20 minute job.

Here's a link showing how to DIY, it's not hard, hardest part for me was getting the molding by the door back in place.
