Clicking noise from shift console.

I have an automatic and when i push the brake in to go from park to another gear there's a clicking noise coming from the shift console and it only happens when im in park and push brake. Any help on what it is?

its called a shift lock solenoid .. it unlocks the shifter when you press the brake pedal to allow the shifter to go into gear
