Exclamation Recall Notice

I received a recall notification from my Infiniti Dealership in the mail today that states:

"Please be aware in the coming months you will receive a recall notice for the fuel hose on your vehicle. We have expanded our facility to 11 technicians and 42 loaners to accomodiate this. Please call us at (###)###-#### when you receive your recall notice."

Just wondering if anyone else received this notification.

did you read this part: "There is the possibility that the fuel filler hose may crack and result in fuel leakage from the hose while refueling. If an ignition source is present, a fire could occur. In addition, fuel vapor hoses may crack and cause the malfunction indicator lamp to come on."

http://www.nissanhelp.com/Recalls/350Z/2004.htm

hmmm, fire.....shop time, fire....shop time - hard decision huh?

Did I say I wasn't going to bring it into the shop? Or even questioning it? Of course I'm going to bring it in.

I just took my car in this morning for a routine oil change and to take a look at my squeaky belts at Pleasanton Infiniti. The service guy automatically added this fuel recall thing onto the to-do list as well.

Does your aftermarket exhaust require you to relocate the EVAP canister? If so, how does that mod affect the recall repair?

I took my 04 in last monday for an oil change and replace the rotors and pads for the last time under warranty. I was informed at that time that there was a recall for the fuel hose for my car. They also told me that they would only perform the service if there was less than a half a tank of gas.

They did the whole service in less than a half a day. Glad to have it fixed without having to make another appointment..........I did not receive a recall letter though.

I just had this done and when I pick up my car it's making this clicking/rattling noise. They have to remove the entire rear axle for this service. In my case they didnt put something back together right or ??? I didn't even make it out of the parking lot, back in the loaner.
