A ECU flash would be your cheapest and probably the best way to go for N/A . Thats if you are close to Technosquare to have them tune it on the dyno .

I see.

Although I know a ton of info regarding reflashes & ecu modifications, I have never really payed attention to dyno tuning.

What exactly is the purpose of it? How does it tie in with the TS reflash?

More importantly, how much does it cost for a dyno tune? (excluding the TS reflash fee)

.

If you have the money, of course it'd be the vpro.

TechnoSquare... its an ECU reflash which modifies timings and A/F according to your specific mods.

Should be around $500.

TS has many different ECU mapping programs... for those that mail their ECU and list of mods, TS will plug in the most appropriate map... But there are minor variances that can cause A/F to be a little different for instance and with the dyno they can dial in a little tighter – adjusting a/f, timing... You might see 2-3 extra hp, you might see 10 – you might see none. The update is $150 and dyno tune is $150 per hr (I believe) - I’m not sure the extent of what all they do on dyno tune (besides what I mentioned)… but I figured as long as I'm there I'll have Tadashi work his magic and hopefully see some additional gains.

They are in Torrance... as skate said it approx $500 originally then $150 to update if you add mods... here's the link to their site:

I see, so in other words, dyno tuning is used for precise accuracy, whereas just doing the reflash itself is somewhat assuming X map is appropriate for X mods. (?)

Keep my updated on your process; im definately interested in the dyno tune once I get enough mods done, as long as the fee isnt too much to handle for me (which will depend on how long they take for the dyno tune). But the TS reflash is definately a must for me, when the time arrives.
