ApexiNeo Help!

I have an apexi NEO tuner and was wondering if its alright to run the tuner with out having the car tuned or put on the dyno. I have heard both sides of this story and im totally lost. Whats it gonna take to get this tuner running after initial wiring?

all i have on the car now is a grounding kit and z tube.

If it's the latest APEXi Super AFC NEO gadget that displays such things as RPM, throttle, battery voltage, correction percentage, air-flow percentage, boost pressure, etc., you might be OK. The ECU "should" recognize the Neo and make adjustments (some ECU's may actually hamper the Neo)--- HOWEVER, there may be others with much more know how and experience with these than me. I'm sure I'll be corrected quickly.

These toys are very sophisticated at $350-450.

That is similar to something i heard from another source, Id like to know from someone who installed one and maybe drove it to the dyno? or left it un tuned for any period of time.

Your ecu will relearn... spend the extra hundred or so more for a reflash, it's much more worth it.

Later year ECUs will relearn and eventually eliminate the tuning you did with your piggyback. In that case, the only way to tune your car is with a reflash.
