Look at this, hehe.

They actually don't look like this anymore since I wrapped them last week. So long for the liquid titanium look

Do you know exactly what they did? ie.. ecu model number? etc.? I'm an early sedan also and would like to hear from someone that had the same problem. I wasn't aware that the coupe had the early ecu problem

Too the best of my knowledge the uprev/osiris works with all coupes. The only car that it is not compatible with is the early 03 sedans. Since you have a coupe you should be fine. The reason it only effects the sedans is because they used the early pin out style from the maximas to get them out and running early. Any Uprev tuner should have all necessary means to flash your coupe.

I have no clue as to what he did other then him connecting to my OBDII port and starting up the UpRev software. I can ask him this weeks to see what he did, hopefully this will help you guys obtain the power of Osiris (or at least a little closer)!

PM me in two weeks. I will have before and after dynos with the headers on, it's gonna be on a Dynojet LC series, but remember that I already have some aftermarket headers that are crap but equal lengths nonetheless.

I see, so it's actually a connector issue, not a software one. In that case then, it looks like my experience is useless in this context.

Well.....I believe its both. The ecu used in the pre 03 nissans is just an older generation. I am by no means an expert, but I know that there is an actual, physical difference b/w them that makes them incompatible with the osiris flash set-up. Bed time, later folks.

UpRev said there is no solution for early 03 ecu's other than cutting the stock harness and installing a modern ecu or simply using a piggyback ( which is what I'm gonna do ).

Rev up manifold with a spacer will help push your powerband to the right.

peak power is already near redline so I think I rather push the redline more to the right. I'll see if I can post a pick soon.

Would rev up manifold help that much on a 5AT?

No. The rev-up plenum was designed overly aggressive. It really won't add any extra power (maybe 2-4whp on the very top end). If you are already holding near peak power to redline you will not see any benefits. All it will do is cut down on low-mid range power (perhaps even significantly). On some built DE's, people are swapping over to the rev-up because it flows more and can support power past 6500 rpm.

I don’t understand how a 3” MAF housing is going to make any difference without a bigger TB, bigger diameter induction tube, boring of the intake runners in the plenum & manifold – and probably porting the heads… Just putting a bigger MAF housing with same sensor and changing nothing else shouldn’t make a difference. The gains you saw from the tune would have probably been the same with a standard 2.75” (or whatever size it is) MAF housing.... What am I not understanding?

BTW – to the Osiris on early 03 issues… UpRevs cable connector doesn’t work with the real early 03s ECU connector… very, very few cars have this problem… most 03s are fine – only the very early cars (purchased in 2002) will be a problem.

if you are making power past 6300 without cams that’s an anomaly... the non revup DE peaks almost 500 rpm before stock redline
