2003 sedan ecu question

I have the dreaded early 03 auto sedan, I understand this means I have the ecu from the 01-03 maxima which means with this ecu I can only send it to technosquare for a tune or maybe the greddy e-manage. My question is would it be possible to get a used ecu from an 03-04 coupe because that would let me use say osirus or the cobb accessport?

02-04 Maxima ECU.

In order to change ECU's you would have to change the entire wiring harness. Which, essentially means you would have to change the MAF sensor as well. I know they changed that multiple times.

On the flip side, you can hardwire just about any piggy back. UTEC, eManage, or even go the standalone route. If you are just going for a tune, and plan to stay NA eManage will suffice. Based on what your mods are and whatnot, I could possibly get you a copy of the tune I have.

Okay kinda figured there was a reason nobody had tried this yet. If you could get me a copy of your tune without much trouble that would be great. I looked into the e-manage and came across the v-manage, is that not an option for our cars? also if I have looked into the e-fan conversion and wanted to know if you think it is a worth while investment. Thanks for the help.

dunno what the "vmanage" is....never heard it being used on our cars.

E-fan conversion was great for me. I think you will like it. Depends on the route you go as well.

Let me know if you get the eManage and what version you have. I have eManage Blue. I'm still trying to find a communication cable for it so I can pull the tune.

The eManage Ultimate allows you to store 2 tunes I believe, and they are more refined, 32 points instead of 16. Also, the EMU allows you to change the rev limiter and set it up higher if you want.

Thumbs up

here is the link to the v-manage http://www.greddy.com/products/displ...SubCategory=72 . Looks like it just might be a new model. As for what my plans are with the car, I have been modding for about three years and feel that after the e-fan all i would need is a tune and I would be content. If you dont mind me askin did you do the fan yourself or have it installed professionally?

E-fan I did myself, with help from DaveO who I think was the first person to do the mod.

THe V-manage looks like the updated EMU. It probably works much better for the G35 than the EMU for Force Induction. I can see it being beneficial but not if you stay NA for the additional cost.
