Another tune thread... another broken heart!

I got my car Osiris tuned today at HP Logic with a Mustang Dynometer. All my engine mod is the plenum spacer plus Berk HFC, 2008 350z HR Y pipe and mid pipe. I wasn't expecting much but still it was disappointed.

The higher it went was 227 whp and 206 wtq. Are these numbers close to the power expectancy of a tuned VQ35DE engine with these mods?

5AT or 6MT?

all dynos are different. Unless you have a "baseline" from the same dyno, I would tell you not to sweat it.

Your stock exhaust (350z/g35/etc) has a big choke point in the midpipe crush bend as well as muffler being smaller in 2003/2004. Better exhaust would make a difference for you and my guess is at least 10 whp if you did it before the tune.

No, I don't have a baseline dyno done prior to mods. Could you elaborate on the mid pipe and the muffler?

I just had my car dyno'ed a few days ago. I did three runs. My best pull was 240whp & 236wtq.

My worst was 236whp and 231 wtq. I will upload the graph as soon as I find a scanner. My mod's are listed below. But I must say the characteristics of your curve's vs. mine are very similar. I'd agree with tollboothwilley who said our cars have a fairly restrictive exhaust, wouldn't hurt to get one and see what you put out.

I think the mustang dyno shows up lower than a dyno jet?

I did 248whp at Sound Performance earlier this year with similar tq numbers. I also have a 5AT but also have Fast Intentions Intimidator exhaust, Berk HFCs, MD 5/16 Iso spacer, grounding kit and K&N filter attached to ztube.

With Osirus I should prolly gain an additional 15-20whp or so. You've gotta add more breathing mods to open up more whp on the heartbreaker dyno.

I just got a AEM CAI and I'm considering a custom cat back exhaust with dual 2.5 pipes and 2 Magnaflow mufflers (they have X pipes built in). Lets see if it helps

How many miles are on your car? The aem cai is know to loose power over stock.

53K miles. Why would it loose power with a CAI?

It will get heat soak off the ground and from any engine bay air it sucks in.

by the time the air gets through the tube, it's said that it gains quite a bit of heat so the COLD AIR intake is rendered less useful.

seems like through testing on the site, rev up air box + Z tube have proven to have the best gains.
