Question on JW Cams for G35 Sedan

I have a 2006 G35 sedan and was looking to install JW cams to get a little more HP out of my VQ35 engine. I am lowered with Tein s-techs, Stillen Swaybars, ztube, MD 5/16 spacer, underpulleys, drop-in filter, grounding wires, and HR Y-pipe.

I was wondering I get the cams installed, what else would I need to upgrade? I am going to upgrade to SS brake lines, flush my brake fluid, and get Hawk brake pads installed in the next couple of months.

I'm not sure of the relevance to the other mods you mention...

have you done any research on cams?... what are you goals and how did you come to determine this is a worth-while attempt?

if you're upgrading your cams, you at least need new valve springs and retainers

^^^ not necessarily... relatively mild cams (JWT S1 and S2 for example) can be used with OEM springs...

Upgraded springs might be a good idea if you intend to rev significantly higher (for various reasons)...

With aggressive cams, yes springs would need to be upgraded - but I dont suspect OP is using C8 or anything aggressive...

When i think of cams i always think of higher revs lol thats why i've always upgraded springs with cams..made the mistake once of using stock springs and they ended up being too weak to close the valves fast enough.
