question?

so i had my vortech put on about a week ago and long story short the car starts very hard. ie stalling and rough idle for about a min. or so then it smooths out and runs great even when im really getting on it. does this sound normal? also the wideband hits about 8 when it starts then goes straight to 13.8 ish

the new parts installed are:
vortech v2 non rev w/3.12 pully
walbro fuel pump
550cc injectors
1 step colder plugs
aem fic
390 at the wheels

Try the F/I forum, they might be able to help.

It's kind of dead in these sections.

+1, what tuning platform are you using? also, at what RPM do you idle when warmed up?

btw, you'll almost always get a quicker response if you ask these questions over on my350z.com

my tuner just told me that when its not running all the numbers jump all over the place and once its running everything smooths out. he's starting to think he got a bad unit from aem

im not sure of the rpms right now but i know he didnt turn them up because the vortech is still doing that awful "rattle" lol (i wanna say maybe 750ish)

as for the o2 open loop. he mentioned something about hitting the highway for like 50mi in cruise contol?

How do you like the aem/fic? i just installed a turbonetics and ordered the piggyback. not much input on it from here or at the 350z forums. did the tuner you take it too have alot of experience with the aem/fic? im out in vegas so i dont have many tuners to choose from.
