2004 Coupe 6MT 276HP/265TQ SAE Church Automotive

2004 G35 Coupe 6MT 50,000miles. This is most likely the end of my build. With this car I wanted to do just mild NA mods and be cost efficient as well as use OEM as much as possible. In a perfect world I would do more, I have an itch to do cams but its expensive. Anyways I'm very happy. The drive ability of this car is much improved and mid range power is amazing honestly its the best feature of the VQDE. Sadly I do not have a stock baseline dyno before I installed my parts.
Parts were installed in this order over several months. On the butt dyno biggest improvement was plenum spacer and cats, I did loose low end power with those before the tune.

Z tube K&N drop in filter
5/16inch Motordyne plenum spacer
Kinetix high flow cats
350Z HR Y-pipe
UPREV tune 5 maps by Church Automotive
Everything else STOCK including mid pipe and muffler, love that G sound.

My parts selection was based entirely on information found on this website, g35driver.com was an indespensible tool for this build.

With parts installed the car dynoed 258HP/244TQ SAE. So church's tuning gave me a gain of 18HP and 21Lbft TQ. AFR is much better now. Also look at the TQ gain very nice! My hat is off to Sean church, I highly recommend him. This is the way tuning should go!

wow.. nice man! Does it pull noticeably harder now? From low throughout the powerband or what?

I wish there was a tuner like Church automotive around here.. i hear nothing but good things about them!

It pulls harder through entire RPM range. Mid range power is the best part. I'm so happy to get my low end power back, I lost some when I installed the cats and spacer. Did a 6th to 2nd gear rev match down shift and flew down the road today and the sound is awesome! Makes me love driving the G again.

Church is a great guy, really professional and cool to talk to about cars. Nice to deal with a tuner who actually knows his salt!

Powerband looks good.

My last time there, I hit 290hp/272lb-ft if I recall correctly. I haven't gone back recently.

Stock VQ35's usually hit anywhere from 250-265 depending on the transmissions and whether they are revup or non-revups.
