So right now I almost have all the basic mods. Currently I have 5/16 plenum Jwt pop charger/Z tube Kinetix HFC so I was wondering If I can get the tune now? Or wait till I get my exhaust? Right now all i have is the coupe mid and i might switch on another muffler after. Would it be okay to get the tune after? Or can i get it now with what I have? Its a 05 g35x sedan btw. I was going to go Fi but not sure how much power my block can handle before I have to replacing the whole thing or doing a build.

Its always best to wait until the car is how it will be driven on the norm.

LOL at some of these almost 300 whp gains only on bolt ons.

I know a guy that had a fully built NA revup G who barely made over 300 WHP

On what dyno? I made 280 on a DD so 300 on a Dynojet is feasible.

Elevation and temp differences maybe? It's known that these VQ's don't make much NA power for the money you put into them. I guess the real question is...What does a stock internal VQ with bolt ons and a tune put down on on PF's dyno?

Went to have a touch up tune done last night since I recently added HFC and MREV2.

The tuner was having issues with severe pinging due to some bad gas that I pumped a couple days prior. I stopped at an unfamiliar gas station on my way home and filled (Shell 93) but the tuner suspects it was very crappy gas. Went to 272hp a few times but kept getting pulled back down due to knock.

Final numbers were 268.3hp and 256tq. Tuner suspects with a better tank of gas I'd hit 275-280 given it bounced off 272 a few times.

Previous tune numbers were 259.9hp and 242tq so overall a net gains of 8.5hp (boo) and 14lb ft. Not bad for an oil consuming 04 DE with 132k miles.

yes, but you will need to rewire the OBD2 plug. There's a DIY on uprev's site under support

Its just the OBDII plug that just needs to be changed right nothing to do with the ECU and ECM right. its the port right under the VDC button on the drivers side correct?

Correct. The ecu is fine it's just the plug is wired differently on the 03 coupes. All you have to do is remove the plug from right below the vdc switches and relocate one of the wires. There's a DIY on uprev's site under the support section--G35 CAN rewire or something
