Bolt ons and tune

I'm debating on selling my G37X Coupe( 298 WHP) and going into a 06-07 G35( 6 SPD Manual). What guys making for typical WHP bolted and tuned? I want to save some $$$$ as we just got a Condo, But do not want to spend a arm and I leg getting back to my present WHP. Thanx

rev-ups usually make that with full bolt ons and a tune ie: intake, spacer+mrev2, HFC/TP and exhaust

thats about it i think it might not be worth switching cars on the fact that you will have to buy all that to get to where you already are

i have full bolt ons on my G35 and while im getting my OC replacement ive been driving a G37x and its pretty sad that i could take my car all day and night with this stock loaner

speaking of OC (oil consumption) the year G35 your looking at with M/T will be at risk to have this problem some time in its life and let me tell you from personal experience its not fun

Really the 06's have the OC?? I had that on my 04-Z.. As Far as buying parts, I'm putting my G37 back to stock, So I will have a Cat back( Exoticspeed) and Rims and Tires, An will be selling my Stillen Gen 3's, Rear CF V2 Diffuser, CF Rear Spoiler and Eibach spings. So I will have some $$ for mods on the G35, I figure I can get 8-900 for the parts I'm selling so and pick up the intake spacer and TP's used ,The only thing I would have to get is the tune and Maybe Kazain will help me out on a that?

Trust me I know how fast the G37 is I have the X and the 7 SPD auto and 298WHP is nothing to sneeze at HAHA

my RWD is horible in the snow ive got stuck a few times but thats partly to me not having a winter set up and trying to drive with low-profile summer tires

any 6mt equipped G35 2005+ is at risk for OC.... actually anything is possible because i had OC and i dont have a 6mt

i still say its not worth it going through all that trouble.... sounds like you have already done alot with your G37 anyway

after driving this loaner when i get my coupe back i think ill be disappointed and probably consider trading in for a G37... the VQ37HR is such a beast!

No I defenatly hear you about the 37HR being a BEAST( Guy in RS4 can attest to that) but a difference of $175-200 a month on payment is a lot. Especially with our house and now a condo. :/

no offense but maybe the condo wasnt the best idea at this point....

IMO i wouldnt be happy going to a G35 from a G37, only way i could see you breaking even in the swap would be doing ALL the labor your self, getting top $ for your parts and a great deal on the G35 then you would need to buy all the aftermarket parts for the G35 + a new tuning license putting you back in the hole

None taking, The Condo was a must for "US" not to go off topic but "WE" need to move..

The G35 is 16k with just under 57k miles, Not that I'm going to settle on that price but thats a great starting point.

might actually be possible then i thought they would try and low ball you on the trade in

just a FYI since the G35 is a rev-up the Motordyne MREV2 is a prerequisite to the plenum spacer

Yea I was worried about the low ball effect also, but with only 8200 miles on it they really cant.. I dont drive that much. . ok So the Spacer is the MREV2, and 1/2 or 3/8 thermal?? I had one on my Z but forgot which one..

the MREV2 is the lower part or the bottom of the plenum the spacer sits on it, go over to Motordynes site and read about it or search here im sure that there are tons of threads

its probably the best, instant HP/TQ, mod for the rev-up motor

WAIT hold up... everything i told you only applies to the 06 sedan if you buy a 07 sedan it has the 3.5 V6 HR motor (same as what you have now)

Ok so the 06 is a REVUP and the 07 is a HR? I'm getting a G35 Coupe - Sorry I did not say that earlier.
