IDLE PROBLEMS - Haltech Platinum Pro

Good afternoon gang;

So, I just recently had the newly released platinum pro haltech ecu for my 03 g35.

When I picked up my car at the tuners after leaving it with them for 3 days I was immediately informed that I have to wait roughly 2 minutes for me RPM's to 'stabilize'. Within this period my tach drops down to roughly 750rpm and bounces up to 1200-ish and repeats this process making my car sound like it has a mind of its own; retarded.

Once it does finally balance out... I have stalled about 12 times in the last 2 days. The biggest culprit seems to be if I happen to put my clutch in from a RPM above 2500 and when the rev's drop down, it either stalls out immediately, or it bounces a couple times but bounces to low.

I got in touch with the guys tuning it, and they told me it was the haltech that is causing the bouncing RPM and that they will not be able to fix it. Are you f*****g kidding me?

I lost my mind on them once I got done the 1000 mile drive in a phone call and shortly after I had a new map emailed to me which SEEMS to have fixed the stall issue - but it still drops pretty low so I'm sure it will stall out soon. I almost crashed my car when the steering locked up on a turn... not cool at all.

I understand the old platinum pro's had some low idle issue.. but common... Anyone able to help? I'm choked. My car sounds like it has a mind of its own; and rev's itself up and down and various points of start up and idling.........

Any ideas on what the guys could have missed? Thanks gentleman.

Bump

Also, my service engine light came on, and when I tried to hook up my code reader it wouldn't work. Kept saying an error.. I thought the new haltech's were obd2 compliant?

this isn't really a resolution to your problem, but you really should think about finding a new tuner that knows haltech and our platform. It doesn't sound like whoever you took it to knows both piece of the equations.

I'm not a tuning expert, but you might want to punch whoever suggested the haltech in the face. I'm not sure what your set-up/goals are, but you're probably not making/shooting to make killer power with the 550 injectors (listed in your signature). Of which case, an Osiris tune/flash would have had you out the door running smoothly for less than the cost of the haltech.
