I was told the ecu can just be reflashed from auto to manual trans. I tried doing this with the consult II but it pulls the vin and realizes that is not the right program for the car and will not go through with it. Is there anyway to do this? My problem is I keep getting codes from the ecu because it is not hooked up to the auto trans thus I can't pass emissions and get a plate. Please help.

So you just swapped in the ENGINE from an automatic, everything else stayed the same with your car? Should run fine.

At this point around my area i cant trust them they ruined my starter and i had to get a new one just tryna see if this expensive obd reader cant read my car but read the otber 2 next to me that tells me ecu issue with communicating cause also when i step on throttle to rev it not only it bogs out but fuel pump.primes off Originally Posted by seymore4

UPREV has a new feature from Auto to Manual swap to turn the automatic transmission specs off the ECU. They did it for my friends G35 with a manual VK56VD.

I’ve just completed swapping from 5AT to 6MT in an 04 Coupe. The only thing swapped was the Transmission so the ECU and engine are all stock 5AT. PNP, Cruise Control, Reverse, and Neutral switches are wired up. The car starts and runs. I’m just looking to get rid of that pesky “Check AT” light that flashes. I do have the UPREV tuner license, but I’m having a hard time finding the feature to swap from Auto to Manual. Is this something that is only done with the “Pro Tuner” features or am I just blind?Originally Posted by Raiden
