Need Osiris Help
Hey Guys,
I have been doing some research on these tunes and I am honestly having trouble connecting the dots.
I have a 04 G coupe, and I plan on doing the breather mods and then getting a tune. where I live, there are not very many tuners around at all. in fact, there is only one that is even worth going to. so with that being said, how exactly can i get a "tune from osiris" is this "osiris tune" like a handheld tuner that plugs into an obdII port? or like what, Can someone help shed some light for me??
Thanks
-Will

When you buy an Osiris tune by yourself you get a data logging cable and a tune on the cable. This is a obd2 to USB cable. You have to use a laptop, and software from Osiris to install a tune into your car you start with a base tune and work your way up from there.
Seymore4 is a tuner who specializes in E-tunes (email tunes). He can tune your car from afar as he has very good experience.

Yeeeup I know a bit about Uprev tuning
OP there's 2 ways to get tuned with Osiris. You can go to a shop and get reflashed and tuned on the spot on their dyno, as long as the tuner knows what he's doing that will guarantee you the best results but is incidentally the most expensive. Usually runs $600-800 for the reflash and tune, and you have to make an appointment and go to the shop to get it done.
Or you can purchase the Osiris standard kit and have the car tuned remotely with datalogs at your convenience. As long as the guy doing the etuning knows how (its a slightly different process than dyno tuning) you'll get 90% of the performance of the dyno tune, at a much better price ($500 shipped), plus you own the reflash cable so you can reflash updates in the future, or reflash back to stock and sell it used. (used cables go for $350ish in the classifieds)
The way it works is very easy, basically you get the Osiris standard kit in the mail, that includes an Uprev OBD2-USB reflash cable so that you can reflash the ecu on your own, as well as datalog, check and clear codes, etc. As soon as you receive it you'll be able to access the software and verify your ecu part number, with that and your mods the tuner will create you a custom base tune and email it over... you just reflash that and then record a couple datalogs driving around so the tuner can see how she's running and send you an updated tune, then repeat until its running just right. Typically only takes a couple sets to get it dialed in. This would also include setting up the map switching that you may have heard about:
