San Diego, CA. - TIME 2 RALLY! (10/15/2006)

The Fall edition of Time2Rally will be held on Sunday October 15th, 2006. The start of the event will take place in Sorrento Valley, at the Symbolic Motors Restoration and Service Center.
Upon welcoming, the participants will receive a gift bag. A breakfast will then be served on the premises where participants of the event will have a chance to meet each other, meet the sponsors as well visit the restoration center.
The general public is welcome to look at the vehicles displayed as well as attend the start of the rally. Once the breakfast is finished, each team will receive a road book which has all the information about the destination of the rally as well as the itineraries to follow.
Since all teams will receive the packet at the same time, no team had an advantage over another. A brief Q&A session will follow and then the cars where on their way. An event MC will be on site to comment on the cars, the drivers and the navigators as the team are departing. Each team will depart in 30 seconds intervals and departing time will be recorded on a time sheet.
A Time2Rally team will be at the next meet up location in Big Bear to greet the participant as they arriveand help them park their vehicles in their designated spots. Participant time will be recorded as they arrive to the destination on their time cards.
Then as more and more teams arrive at the destination in Big Bear, a lunch will be served and teams will have time to talk to each other about their experience as well as talk to representatives of the sponsors. After a certain time, teams will be given another road book that gives them the itineraries to follow for the second stage of the rally.
Like during the morning session, each team will depart in 30 seconds intervals and were on their way for the second leg of the rally. The second stage as well as the rally ended with a award ceremony at K1Speed in Carlsbad were each participants and their copilot will enjoy a karting race to finish off the event.
A cocktail reception and hors d’oeuvres will be served and people will be able to relax. Each sponsor will be thanked and given the chance to speak if desired. Then each participant will enjoy the rest of their evening at their own pace.
Due to the rally rules, we decided to keep the route of the event a secret. Information will be handed out to the participants on the morning of the event to prevent any teams to take advantage of route knowledge and prepare for the rally.
