fvckin cold!

wind was blowing about 200 mph, sun was hiding behind the clouds, dash said 39° when we rolled in...felt like it never warmed up. Ran the laps with the seat heaters on and the heater full blast cause we had to run with the windows down. Track was slick, didn't help some ol' beater BMW puked its radiator on the track. Watched a turbo'd Lotus just about rear-end a Viper...still not sure what the lotus was thinking.

A Ford Probe, with great big ricer wing, managed to spin-out...not sure how he managed that in FWD??? apparently not enough wing???

To sum it up we had a blast!

Very fun. I may miss the next two but I do plan on going to the June event. I'm really leaning on getting the Akebono BBK...still trying to talk myself into it.

 

Cool event. My friend and I took his G37S 5AT out in April and it was a good time. Nice track and a great way to see other cars and take a couple pictures.

It's about that time to start talking up the June 28th track event. Tulsa crew is going to leave the QT on 31st and Sheridan at 6:30am again. We'll meet up in the space on the north side of the parking lot.

Might want to bring a small cooler with some ice/beverages this time, it's going to be a little warm.

 

Cant wait. I had got my sway bars installed for the last one then we got rained out. Been waiting over a month now to try them out on the track. Got a few other new mods for the 37 too since last time. Can't wait to get out there. I think i'm gonna be going the week before on the 21st too. Its with another group and they set the track up more like auto cross style. should be interesting.

 

FOR THE 28 JUNE EVENT:

Everyone from the Tulsa/NE Ok area that plans on caravaning to OKC.....

We're going to meet at the Quik-Trip on 3050 S. Sheridan and leave there by 6:15am. This should give us plenty of time to make the 7:45 opening gate at the track in OKC. You may want to bring a cooler, folding chair, camera, sunscreen....and whatever else you think you may need.

 

anyone going to the Aug 2 event? I finally moved into the area and spent my first full week here (started a month ago, but was doing a lot of traveling). Turns out one of the other new guys I started with just bought an 07 sedan and is interested in going to the event.

If there are plans for a meet let me know.

I will be out of state for this event. Going to visit family.

There is also a Hallett track day coming up on Aug 22nd (IIRC)

Haven't heard from twin001 in a while so I'm not sure if he's going.

 

I'm not going to the Aug 2 event, but I think I will be at Hallett.

 

What do I have to do if I want to attend Hallet on that date? I should have my track car by then

Also what about the September sheriff's track day? any word yet if it's happening for sure?
