My personal opinion is that this was a very close-nit group getting together as a once in a blue-moon gathering for fun times and cool pics… Anyone that knows that history relates.

It has obviously grown within itself (somewhat controlled) – and now seems to be something of an expectation (of sorts)…

This is still a gathering of G35 Sedan Enthusiasts that want to share their passion for the VQ with others… The sponsors that were initially involved are ones that have supported that community.

IMHO, unknown vendors and unknown members aren’t really a part of what has brought this together…

Lots of people want this to be big and annual… maybe it will be. But I think this time around we should show appreciation for the vendors and members that it represents.

Wow ~ seems political – but its truthful… and I really think other (forum members) should give their thoughts.

I think it's semi ghey to be drawing a line in the sand. Everyone was new at one point or another.

my .02 is that this is being brought together...i care more about the people showing up than the actual raffle winning.

Let’s not lose track of the concept… I mentioned “new members” with less than 10 posts…

If “free stuff” is what draws people to an event like this – okay… but it detracts from what the original intention was.

If the general consensus is: let all that register user name today in the raffle - so be it.

It’s good to have a point of reference like this so when backlash about unfairness (like the HB meet) hits later, we can all have pre-agreed.

I think that as long as someonetakes the time to sign up for the meet, PM you for to enter the raffle, then actually show up to the meet, then they deserve a chance. I'm partial to welcoming members to come out and meet everyone (old or new) and to have a great time. If luck has it they win a prize, great!!! if they don't, then so be it. they still had a great time.

We should have the raffle at the end of the event though, that way people will stay for the entire duration and not just be there for the raffle (that happens too).

When they starting winning more and more, they actually had to decide if they want the prize or not and who was going to claim it. what's worse is that the girl was all "unhappy" that she won the g37 billet grill and didnt know what to do with it. I'm sorry, but thats just fvckin lame.

To add, I was standing by them the whole raffle and heard everything they said.

It goes on and on… This was just a few months ago.

They say wisdom is gained from experience – and experience is gained from failure… I’m not suggesting I’m wiser or more experienced than anyone out here – but I am saying you’d have to be stupid to make the same mistake again.

PM me if you want in the raffle… and if you are new, and everyone else says its cool – you win, you win and no multi-page drama to ruin the event.

HAHA, this is great....someone actually took pic of that bus load of Koreans ripping our members off. It was set up that every car owner would get one raffle ticket, why this was allowed still has me baffled. Everyone should have a chance to win in a raffle if they have their car at the meet....new member or old. (low post count or Calvin)

i agree with aaron, the raffle should be at the end of the meet, that way people have to stay the whole time, that combined with people pming their real names should be protection enough

seriously tho.. who does that lame ****? to go to a raffle for a meet that you dont belong in.. ugh ***gots

Thank you for your opinions/suggestions guys…

The reason I am having people PM me is so I have a list at the meet – raffle tickets will be issued (at the meet) based on that list – initially I figured this would be enough to prevent non-members from winning like last time…

I will add all that PM – but will make note of their member status… We will try to prevent the problems that happened at other meet.

As for "when" the raffle will be held... no one knows when the "end of meet" will be... but I can tell you the drawing wont be immediately after the listed start time... and we will do our best to allow time for everyone on the list to show up before we start drawing names.
