Spending hundreds of dollars with quality vendors that are kind enough to reciprocate by supporting/sponsoring events with free stuff and discounted services - just to see people LOL about not using the gift really sucks - especially when I end up going back and PAYING for the service on my car (while raffle winners sit on discount coupons and free product).

It's happened with three vendors that I use... it's awful to ask for sponsorship and then have it not used (not just once, so anyone reading this, don't think I'm singling you out).

I don't think many people realize what’s involved with making this stuff happen... most just figure if they ask, it will happen - and the magic mod/meet fairy takes care of everything...

Marcus, I know you realize what it takes - and I'm sorry to vent in your resurrection thread/post... you are a good guy and you have done great things with your car and for the G community - as have several others... unfortunately many that have gone out of their way in the past have stepped back - and for various reason I am too.

Wow Mike, given all that you said I understand. I know its a lot to plan an event like this and to see people not really caring about the freebies they got is frustrating (please don't take any offense to this anyone). Its not going to be the same without you planning it! I hope that you will be at the event showcasing your unique one of a kind Sedan and also at the photo shoot should we decide to have one.

Everyone, I haven't released a date yet because I just saw that Riverside Inifiniti is having a show at their dealership the week before on 18 September. The goal was to have time between and not interfere with large SoCal events (ie: HB Meet in June) so that we would get a large turnout.

We will likely push this to October, but I need to talk with Chris (G35Papa) about it first. I'll let everyone know soon.

The G35 Sedan Showcase GTG II will be held on Saturday 23 October 2010 at Long Beach's Shoreline Village.

Chris (g35papa) and I are currently working on getting sponsors for the event. If you are interested in being a sponsor please PM either myself or G35Papa.

Once we nail down the sponsors I'll start a new thread so that people can sign up. Its still pretty far away so it will be a while, just wanted to give everyone a heads up so they can mark their calendars and plan to attend!

Last year's GTG was a huge success, I can't wait for this year.

 

How about a Moon bounce rented on behalf of R&J?

 

LOL, yeah and lets also get one of those huge inflated boxing rings with oversized gloves.
