Using Navi While Driving

Has anyone figured out a way to use anything on the navi while driving? Even though it's voice activated, if it's not in your address book , or a poi thats nearby by, you can't input a address or place name until you stop. I had an 03 coupe and there was a modification you can do behind the glove box which fixed that.

You can enter in a street address information using voice activation while driving. Use the voice command "Destination Street Address" and it will prompt you for the street #, street name, city, etc. If it doesn't get the right street/city name, it will also list street/city names it thinks is similar and you can select those by saying it's associated number on the nav.

+1 I use it all the time. When you hit the voice button it's one of the commands they show on the screen.

What I mean is what if you don't know the address, and you only know the name of the place and city.

They (the site owners) are pretty picky about this topic here, that is the whole "Nav/video/etc" while moving discussion. You won't find many posts about it. Head on over to 6mt.net and you'll find discussion on it.

P.S. I have a 04 G35 coupe.....I dont know if there all the same. But all you need to find is the VSS wire (speed sense wire) and put a switch....off.....put in address...and back on....DONE!
