it just plugs in the parts don't come with instructions for a infiniti, they are for a nissan. if u buy the parts and you have a brain u can figure it out. it is very simple unplug the connector plugged into xm brain (if equipped, if not equipped with xm brain then the connector will be located under rear deck in trunk in same place it would be if had xm brain), plut the connector into the end of the new harness. plug the other end of that harness into the ipod module. use other harness to connect ipod module to xm brain(if equipped, if no xm brain than u only need the 1 harness, plug ipod cord into module, plug ipod in the other end and wala. as i said before i recommend extending ipod cord to front of vehicle (optional if u wanna add switch on yellow wire in harness to keep from unplugging ipod. u need to unplug or use switch to go between ipod & xm

I'm just going to keep using AUX until Infiniti hopefully releases a retro-fit kit for the '07 model from the '08 iPod Integration.

Quote: Here is what I got
you can buy 3 factory nissan/infiniti parts (2 harnesses and an ipod module) that give you ipod throught the factory controls. it is a part that was originally made just for the nissans but it works on most infiniti's. i have an 07 sedan with xm and it works. kinda wierd to get used to the controls but after a few days no big deal. no steering wheel function except vol. You use the seek up and down as the up and down button functions and the tune **** as the enter button. You get all info on screen , only issue is you need to extend ipod cord unless you wanna leave it in trunk ,but you need to unplug ipod the get xm music since the ipod inteface interupts the xm. If you are going to extend ipod cable then my suggestion is to do as i did and put a switch on the yellow wire in the cable, then you just have to flip the switch to go from xm to ipod. this is the best solution i have found the the ipod issue for the 07 sedan.

hope this helps

part numbers are

ipod module 999u7-vr002-got from nissan dealer
harness 999u7-vs000-got from infiniti dealer
harness 999u7-vs001-got from infiniti dealer

I believe its under the rear deck or behind the carpet on the passenger side in the trunk.

Is there a connector similar to this for the cd changer? I would rather get rid of that than the xm and not have to have a switch to change it. just get rid of the changer for good.

I have a 2007 G35 Sedan. I just purchased the IPOD Kit from everythingg35.com Like h2omaan says it should be relatively straightforward. I do NOT have any satellite tuner installed currently. I did some scouting in my trunk and found the prewired satellite cable under the rear deck in the trunk...Thank you Infiniti...fairly easy to get to. Toughest part was getting my out of shape body in the trunk so I could maneuver and check out the connections.

If you want to leave the IPOD in the trunk it is real easy to finish the install.....I want the IPOD to be in the center console between front seats(where RCA Inputs for AUX are) so I will probably mount the IPOD interface(the box) under the back seats or back center console, that way the IPOD cable will reach (the IPOD cable connects to the IPOD interface and I don’t believe it is long enough to go from the trunk to the console.)

If you go to everythingg35.com and do a search on "ipod " or go to http://www.g35parts.com/9083/osc/pro...roducts_id=521 directly there are some instructions that a 2004 G35 owner put together. The 2007 model is different than the 2004 but the concept is the same. I will take the time and document with pics the procedure and will post them if appropriate. Today is March 18, 2008. I expect to get my kit tomorrow and should have it installed no later that early next week.

In response to my previous post about installing the iPod kit in my 2007 Sedan
I just installed the iPod Factory Integration Coupe/Sedan [999U7-IPOD] kit. The parts I got in the package were the iPod Gateway (999U7VR002), Harness Type B(999U7-VS000). I received this package from everythingg35.com

Go here as I posted my pictures in another thread.

Very Nice write-up! very much appreciated.
My dealer (In Canada BTW) owes me $250 worth of parts. He looked these up and returned this to me today:
hello paul
999u7-vr002 $249.95
999u7-vs000 $34.95
two days to get
thanks brad

Now, I know that's more expensive than EverythingG35 but since the parts are free (I won $250 for parts in a draw they had) I figure this is a good way to spend it.

Do I actually need the kit from EverythingG35.com or could I probably get it to work with just those 2 parts? I have the Bose SOW, No-Sat, No-Nav
Which steering wheel and console controls will work to operate your iPod functions?
Thanks
