I just plan on using a $5 headphone jack to RCA converter and run it through my AUX input.

Much cheaper than $185.
I'm with Silver. I use the iPod more out than in the car, but when I use it in the car, the under $5 I spent on the cable was the best way to go. No remote controls, but no $200 bucks spent either!

This is more for the 07's because the 07's only have the audio/video auxillary input (composite red/white/yellow) in the armrest. It doesn't have the ipod specific input like the 08's

As much as I want to control my Ipod w/the factory controls, I don't want it "$185 bad". Once something cheaper comes out perhaps. For now I'll just keep using the A/V jacks. The Ipod fits perfectly alongside the handbrake and I can feel the track up-down button while I'm driving (something you will no longer be able to do on the Ipod Touch!).

I'm using my iPhone in my 07 Sport, and I must admit that it's quite a pain not to have the tactile buttons. On the other hand, it's very nice to have everything in one package instead of carrying around a phone and a music player. I'm crossing my fingers for a better upgrade solution in the coming months.

It seems to me that it wouldn't be a big deal or cost for Infiniti to release the iPod integration kit as an accessory/upgrade, but who knows?
