Compact Flash Weirdness

I have a 2 gig CF card and copied over a bunch of wma files (nothing more than 2 foldes deep). Worked flawless for a while. I listened to radio, then went back to CF. It only displayed 15 out of the 29 folders; didn't load the whole card. Pulled it out and reinserted, now I see 3 folders... remove insert, now I see 7. A couple hours later, I saw all 29 folders again. Then after going to radio and back, I saw 13 folders.

Basically, is there a force reload of the files on the card. This happens to both cards I use. Anyone else?

I have used only MP3 files and nothing strange happened...only 1 thing I observed is when you have the CF loaded fully with music...starting the car the music takes a while to start..other than that nothing like what you observed.....
Try formatting the CF with FAT32 and copy the songs again and see your luck I guess

Just in case someone runs into something similar.. I found the problem. One of my files had a special character in it (é) and apparently this threw it all in a tizzy. Replace it with a regular "e" and everything has been fine since.

Wasn't there a limit on number of files the car would read? I have about 40 albums on my 4gb card, with probably about 450 songs, and they are all there.

So let's say I have some Korean fonts (in the titles) the songs wont get picked up on the flash card?
