I just got an ipod classic 120gb and is hooked up through the ipod interface on my 2008 g35x. everything works perfectly including the charging without a special adapter. The one thing that bugs me is when i turn off the car/audio system, the ipod does not turn off automatically.

Does this happen to any of you? if so, i have to turn off my ipod manually every time i turn off my car or the battery will drain...

 

Is your hold button on, on the IPOD? If it is, the IPOD won't turn off when you turn the car off. Hope that helps.

 

i just figured it out...i was impatient it took about 2 min before it turned off. it did not matter if the hold was on or off.. thanks!!!

 

you can also try pausing it from the console before you shut off the car, it will idle your ipod and it should shut off automatically
