can I ask you what you did? I hadn't come across any hack for the widcomm stack at all. I'd be willing to try it on my fuze/touch pro 1

I just bought the HTC Hero through Sprint, I haven't connected it to my Bluetooth yet in the car. I love the phone, even though it is operating Android 1.5. HTC recently stated they will have a 2.0 upgrade soon for it.

I is great site.

BTW my Iphone 3G works great even better when Apple released the 3.0 firmware.

Any one had any luck with getting the iPhone to download the address book to the G? It's the one thing that irritates me about my car - I assume it's because the iPhone doesn't support OBEX. Works fine in our MINI (pulls the address book directly off the phone).

That is the only problem I had with my Iphone. BUT I couldn't download/upload my contacts to my G35 with my Verizon Razr 2 either.

I posted on howardforums without much luck.

Here's a link to the thread I posted:

Someone who actually has the Droid should post in and say what problems you are experiencing.

I have a 2007 G35S. Just picked up the droid today. Calls via blue tooth are ridden with static. I could barely hear the other person and they couldn't hear anything I said.

This is disappointing. I never had such issues with my old and obsolete razr2.

Does the 2007 have a different type of bluetooth software installed versus the 2008?

My old HTC (Shadow) has similar issues with BT. Everything was clear, but the only way the person on the other end of the line could hear me was if i switch the call over to the phone and then back to the G once the call is established.

There were a couple of hacks to fix the BT stack on the HTC (not just the Shadow), but none really worked for me.

Got a Nokia N85 now and it works out of the box. I can even stream live internet radio directly to the G via it's built-in FM transmitter

The droid worked perfectly in my wife's IS350. I tried unpairing then repairing the phone to my car this morning but the results stayed the same. Horrible static and neither person could hear the other through BT.

I found this service bulletin info. Could be that MY07 sedans need a bluetooth software update? I'm going to call my local dealership about this.
