Navigation getting lost - Does it happen to you?

Have an 08 G35xS loaded except for tech package. I've been noticing lately when using the Navigation it sometimes gets lost.

What I mean by this is I can be driving down the highway and all of a sudden the arrow goes 2 streets to the left or right of current position and starts telling me to make turns to get back on highway. Then after about 4 -5 seconds it corrects itself and shows that I'm on the highway. Another annoying thing is sometimes it doesn't accurately get me going the proper direction if I stray off a programed route like getting off road to get food, gas etc. One would think $1800 for Navigation would work as good if not better than the portable Garmin and TomTom units I have.

Was wondering if others are having the same or similar issues and what you have done to fix the issue. Also would appreciate anyone knows if there is a TSB I can tell the dealer about cause when I took it in for diagnosis they 2x said nothing is wrong.

I haven't experienced that on the G, but did have several occasions where it happened on my Nuvi --- for the most part it's because i have old maps on the Nuvi. (Roads were recently changed).

I reset to factory defaults and then setup navi options like views, fastest route etc to the way I like them and seems to work fine now. Hopefully it will continue to operate properly.

Thanks

all navi's are going to glitch....especially when using it while in a congested city or woods. the buildings and trees throw signals off. No navi is ever 100% accurate
