Navigation question

Now that I've used it a few months a couple of questions. It seems to take me off the freeway way early to get to where I'm going. Example. Instead of going a couple of more miles to another freeway that gets me closer to the address it gets me off on the right street but then I drive for miles to the address. Also if I put the address in and go a different way it will try to get me to go back to the way it wanted me to go. Justs quirks in the system? It's my first nav.

I don't have factory nav but check if it has a setting for shortest route vs fastest route like portable GPS devices?. The shortest route is not always the quickest.

It could also be differences in the way it computes the route. Same as how MapQuest and Yahoo routes are not always the same.

Also, if you kinda know the way but not really, once you go past a point that the Nav tells you to turn, she will recalculate the route for you. In other words, if she says exit 4 but you know that exit 5 is easier, when you pass exit 4, she'll take the cue and rethink for you.

No she won't. She keeps trying to turn me back around and go the way she wanted me to go.

Jeeze, mine does. It's a 2007 and as far as I know has never had any kind of update. No offense but I wonder if my girl is smarter than your girl.
