08' G35 S with random CD problem.
I'been having a random in-dash 6 CD changer problems (I think) for the last three weeks.
When I start the car the CD starts making the same noise as if you where changing or loading CD's in even when the radio is set to play and not the CD.
Other than that the CD seems to behave otherwise OK playing CD's.
Any ideas?
Thanks

This may help. If you can, eject all the CDs and follow the procedure below. This will reset the CD Changer 'cycling issue' (mine was cycling even with NO CDs in the changer):
CD Changer Problems - Reset Solution
Since this a prevalent issue with Nissans and Infinitis of the last decade, just wanted to throw out a possible fix to try. This may be the 'go to' repair attempt but it worked in my case.
My CD changer had no CDs loaded (I use the iPod I/F only) but I went to test a CD I burned for a cohort and the CD changer got locked in a vicious 'Please Eject Disc/Ejecting Disc' cycle of death...No action from the LOAD button either.
Before I ran this to our rather 'questionable' local Infiniti dealer, I pulled the 15 amp Audio fuse located in the small fuse box in the battery compartment (under the hood and remove the tabbed battery cover). The key seemed to be leaving it out for an extended period (overnight in my case).
Reinserted the fuse in the a.m. and let the CD changer cycle through it's backlog of commands and all was good. I could load, eject, play discs as normal. I'll confirm down the road if this is a permanent fix. Pulling this 15A fuse kills the display, audio and climate controls but doesn't lose your presets on the radio or any other preset functions.

I had the same problem for a couple of months, very annoying. I replaced the OEM battery after it died. Problem went away after that. I speculate that the CD changer is being reset by a brownout condition when you start the car on a marginal battery. Hope this helps.
Ok Thanks Much to all of you. I did take it to the dealer and according to them they replaced the CD portion of the radio. it did once or twice since then so i am now thinking that MojoKidd may be right. OEM battery.
I will have them test the battery.
I will have them test the battery.
