2007 V36 Sedan Wired For Bose?

Hi all!

New to this forum, just got a used *** import 2007 V36 sedan(a.k.a. Skyline) with standard audio system and nav. I was thinking to get some of the use Bose bits, like the 10 speakers, amp and head unit from e-bay, to replace the existing stock 6 speaker audio system.

Question one is, are all V36 sedans pre wired with extra harness sockets for the Bose system? Or do I need to get all the extra wire harness for the Bose system too?

Next question concerns the nav, which is equiped with *** maps. If I get the American nav built in to the Bose, can I reprogram the nav for other country maps?(Malaysia)

Thanks for looking and appreciate you folks help.

well i was waiting to see if anyone else would chime in but if you already have the navigation i would imagine you can add the bose head unit, however, since you're talking a 10 speaker system i'd doubt that the speaker harnesses will be in the locations where you need them.

i would start by downloading the shop manual and comparing the harnesses in the av section, that's the best way to find out what you're missing.

Hi!

Thanks for your reply. I just suspect that the wire harnesses will all be there, as my previous 2009 Honda Accord 2.0 came with the full wire harness for the 2.4 version as well, which has all the extra toys that mine did not.

I thought I would just ask before embarking to open up all the interior panels next week, which at least I know what to expect.

Where can the wiring diagrams be downloaded from please?

Honda is good in that respect and every car pretty much is pre-wired but Nissan/Infiniti doesn't wire their cars like that so it's more likely that you'll be SOL in that respect. I fail to see how that saves money in the long run but I suppose it does.

If you search around the forums you may actually get more answer. Try myG37.com also.

Basically I would start by seeing if the harnesses on the back of your stereo are compatible with the bose unit and go from there. Find out which harnesses you'll need from the junkyard/Ebay
