Adding NAV to a NON-NAV G35 Sedan

Adding NAV to a NON-NAV G35 Sedan
Im sure someone has thought about adding Navigation into a model that came without navigation, so I figured I'd ask about the process to obtain navigation in this car.
Upon a potential purchase I am going to try and find one with all the features I want in it from the start, but incase I cant, I was curious how much this is to do?

I'll give it more of a look around to see what I can find. I would like to keep the stock screen and 500ish isnt too bad of a price

Understand though, that's not for the factory NAV. If you want factory NAV, you should buy the car with it. I can't recall ever seeing anyone converting a non-NAV car into a (factory) NAV car, and if by chance anyone has managed to do it, it cost them WAAAAAAY more than $500.

What I meant was buying a seperate unit to hook up and view through the non nav screen.

To be blunt, no you cannot add factory nav to a non-nav car. K.C. is mistaken as well, multiple members here have not done it. I have never heard of anyone doing it actually.
No way it can be done for 500. You are easily looking at 1k without labor. You have to buy new screen, buttons, gps antenna, navi control unit, and repin the whole harness.
Almost no installer would touch the project unless you threw money at them. The Garmin gvn53 or carpc are your only chances of integrated navi and both will be over 500 as well.

The closest you can get to factory navi will be the Garmin GVN53. Many people have installed it and like it. It still will not be touch screen though and you will have to use a remote.
Prodigy One uses a similar incorporated navi and touch screen, but I think runs about 1500

Factory nav has absolutely been installed into a non-nav G35. The only issue was that the satellite radio did not function and i'm not sure why. I've also installed a carputer running garmin mobile PC software, which ran on the stock screen. You can check both out in the links below.

There's a really recent one too but for the life of me I can't find the info. The bottom line is that if you're inclined you can cut the wires and install a nav system from another g35/37 but it will just take some time and labor.
