Change V36 screen display

Alright, I tried to search this as much as I could, but I literally came up with nothing.

So.

Here's the question. I have an 07 G35S without nav. What I wanna know is if there is any way to update the display to the G37 display, or just change it completely. I know that you can change the colors and stuff (lame), but I wanna see if there's any other options.

Thanks, everyone.

Yes, you can do it. My 08 has a 2012 nav unit and display. It takes about $1500 and a day or two of wiring work.

Yeah I think one other member upgraded to the Nav, again proving us all wrong. I'll be damned if I can find the post though. I may have to change my display because the backlight has been dying over the years, if I do i'm considering upgrading to the Nav myself but i've happily been running a PC with Garmin Mobile PC software piped into the display so I don't know if I'll bother investing the money on the whole Nav yet but may at least invest in the touchscreen.

That sounds pretty cool, man. Did you do a write up or DIY for it? I'd definitely be interested in something like that!

Actually yeah, I just updated the thread so it should be near the top of the electronics page. I used a PAC VCI-NIS module to install my backup camera and it has an extra input so I bought a little net-top computer and installed Garmin Mobile PC software on it. I've been very happy with it so far.
