Hi, I have a 2007 G35s and i am having a issue with my ac and nav. Last week i was driving with my ac on and the nav as usual, after a bit of driving the nav screen and all the buttons below the screen and all the ac controls turned off. iv checked all the fuses and they are all good i was hoping one of you can refer me to a link that helps or give me some suggestions. Thanks
The pictures are all from the factory service manual (FSM).
Picture one tells you to unplug the AC Amp Unified Controller and check voltage and what states the voltage will be in with the car ON, OFF, and ACC position of the key.
Picture 2 is the AC Amp harness which is designated "M67" (all harnesses have a specific pin layout and designation referred to in the Power and Grounding section of the FSM).
Picture 3 tells you to check fuses in Fuse Block -J/B which is located in the driver footwell, commonly referred to as the "cabin fuse box".
Picture 5 tells how to check for proper ground on harness M67
Picture 6 shows the layout of Fuse Block - J/B so you know exactly where the fuses # 3, 6, and 19 are located exactly, the top picture is the FRONT of Fuse Block - J/B, the bottom picture is the REAR of the fuse block.
What these steps do is test for proper power delivery at the AC Amp Unified Meter. If there is proper power delivery to it then there's a fair chance that it had a heart attack and died.
To navigate to the proper section for troubleshooting first follow the nicoclub.com link to the FSM's, next select your model year and chassis. The air conditioning controls is section ATC (if coupe) or HAC (if sedan) and those steps were located on page 67 I think for coupe or 105 for sedan.
In the future it's important to specify which chassis you have because there are quite a few differences between the coupe and sedan.
Also, the FSM starts with the document FWD (forward), some years also have IDX (index) attached which can help to look up a specific keyword. You can also just navigate directly to the proper section if you have them all memorized. I strongly recommend you download all the different sections of the FSM for your particular vehicle so you have a copy for yourself.
