Question Tire rotation?

So are the 'Sport' Tires impossible to rotate? the dealer said pretty much just leave them where they are until they wear out? I'd think you'd be able to swap left to right, at least to even out some uneven wear.

You can swap them left to right but you must have them removed and reinstalled so they are still rotating in the same direction but on the other side since they are a directional tire.

This was beat to death in another thread, but...

The Bridgestone RE050As supplied on the Sport models are assymetric but not directional. Hence they could be swapped side-to-side without remounting the tires, i.e, the outside is still the outside even though the tire is rotating in the opposite direction. However, they can not be moved front to back because of the different sizes.

It's not clear that there is much benefit to rotating side-to-side. You should be getting pretty even wear between the left and right sides, unless there's an alignment problem or you tend to take on- and off- ramps fast, in which case the left side tires will probably wear faster since ramps are predominately right hand turns. Of course if you're in New England you can always even out the wear by taking rotaries fast too.
