Can I use staggered rims with the same size tires?

I am looking for a set of OEM wheels for winter use. The ones ive seen all seem to be 17 x 7 front and 17 x 8 rear.

My question is can I use these rims on my G35x with the proper tire size(225/55/17) or will it still effect the AWD system because of the different offsets?

The different offset compensates for the different rim widths. (otherwise the wider rim would stick out more) The overall diameter of the tires is what you should care about. The AWD system will be fine if you run same tires all around.
